A referral is not necessary to come and see one of our physios but if your doctor has referred you to see us we will ensure they are kept informed regarding your diagnosis and progression.
If you have extras, you can use your card to directly pay for physio over the HICAPS facility after your appointment. We accept all major health funds. As each health fund and level of cover reimburses different amounts, if you wish to know exactly what your out of pocket cost will be you should call the insurer directly.
Our initial sessions are 45 minutes and all follow-up sessions are 30 minutes (unless it is a complex issue or there are concurrent problems). Detailed assessment and good treatment takes time.
You can call us directly on 9650 4149, or book through our website: https://www.qvphysiotherapy.com/book-online/
Just come in your regular clothes. If you wish to bring a singlet or shorts to change into you can, but we have a range of shorts/shirts/singlets on site as required. It is important you feel comfortable in your session!
If you are being seen for pain in running/sport please bring your trainers. For group sessions and classes, please bring your gym wear.
Before joining a class you will need to set up a 1 on 1 session for assessment, in which the physio will develop and tailor a program suitable to you. Once you have a program, you can choose between the three services we offer. Private session, Clinical Rehab or Reformer Pilates. We offer classes before work, after hours and during the day.
Due to the changes to PHI rebates, our current Clinical Pilates sessions will now be called Clinical Rehab, from the 1st of April, 2019. The good news is that rebates are still available for Pilates-based exercises and sessions prescribed by Physiotherapists. This PHI reform of natural therapies was designed to eliminate rebates for non-evidence-based therapies, and not intended to impact Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy prescribed Pilates exercises/sessions.
We offer a range of classes which include Reformer Pilates workout sessions (No PHI rebates), small group Clinical Rehab sessions, and Pre/Post Natal session. All classes are run by fully qualified physiotherapists.
We definitely do, call up our helpful reception staff with your details and they will organize an appointment for you. (Note: for Medicare, Workcover and TAC, QV Physio offers a longer session for you, there will be a small out of pocket cost, call for more information)
In most cases, Medicare does not cover our service; if however, your GP deems you to have a long term injury, they may refer you for 5 subsidized sessions under the Enhanced Primary Care system. Please check with your GP for more information regarding who qualifies for these sessions.
It is a part-payment benefits under the Enhanced Primary Care referral. Our reception staff will be able to organize a Medicare rebate to your account during the appointment.
